Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe comes from a mixed-race family from South London in England. She has a mother who is English and her father Nigerian. She was raised in the south of a London community estate, where she attended The Brit School at age fourteen. She graduated with a BA in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While attending the academy, she appeared in a number of stage productions such as King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started in the series Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was in the role of Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. Following this acclaim, she was cast as Elisha in the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as on six of the episodes Trexx as well as Flipside. In the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe also starred as the lead character in How to lose friends & alienate people, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2008. Her credits in the theatre are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her debut in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama program aired in the US on The CW for only two episodes, before it was ended. In February 2011, she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe was in the episodes of the series' second season as the show's regular. However, in May of 2013, announcement was made that she would be departing the show following her guest appearance on the opening episode for its third season. Between 2014 and 2016she appeared in Salem as Tituba. Madekwe was married to her long-time partner, Iddo. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared in tandem on Salem and also he played an appearance with her on the show on TV.

Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. Her family included both parents Roy and Patty as well as four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. The four brothers of Ashley, all very athletic, played hockey in the winter and baseball during the summers, meaning that she grew up playing in parks and arenas. Ashley was never able to actually walk. She danced. When she reached two and a half, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley fell in love with dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley participated in the top divisions in jazz, tap hip hop, ballet lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe until she graduated high school. The top soloist at big competitions, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
