Kelly Clarkson was an American artist and songwriter who was the American sweetheart after she was crowned American Idol in the first season. The win not only catapulted her to stardom and acclaim, but it also earned her a multi-album record deal with RCA Records 19 Recordings and S Records. In the years since, she's recorded numerous studio albums, three of which topped the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just fell short of the top spot. She's among the top artists to made it through American Idol. The singer began to play around with themes and songs as her success increased. Her individuality and her singing talent earned her praise from critics and a number of high-profile prizes. In particular, she has been awarded the Grammy Award a record three times.
